I have this wierd feeling that the album will never be released. But that's just stupid. I guess we'll only have to wait a few more years... It's a plague!
I felt the opposite way. I think it will come out this semester. It is nice to hear that at least she's becoming satisfied with the results and making (some) effort on it.
I think this is kind of her last chance really. The Elle shoot really got me exited and i think that was great promotion and she looked soo hot. but we got an exact date then and it didn't happen and we had an axact date for jan 1st this year and it hasnt happened. I feel like its been soooooooooo long since she was musically relevant that i dunno if everyone will remember her and that makes me sad. I wish all the best for her because of who she is and because she is my fave artist. I hope she hurries up because its looking sooo cool, i think the new music presented as Hole with Micko will bring a new cool market, not just the old grunge fans, which i think is cool. x
Melissa is NOT right. If they were all so fucking concerned about a "real" Hole reunion, where were Melissa and Erics attempts at getting the band back together? If it was all so important to them, why did they wait until Courtney decided to move ahead without them (lets not forget Courtney asked Melissa to be in the band, and she declined) before they said anything? The whole thing pisses me off. I say go for it Courtney, get this album out and go on tour and move on. Fuck Melissa and Fuck Eric.
I can see both sides of the Hole argument. But I don't care that much either way under what name the album comes out, Courtney Love and Hole. I just want new music from her. From what I've heard the demos sound good. I just think Samantha is an amazing song. But I don't know why Melissa is that bothered about it. It's not like Melissa can't find work and needs to reform Hole or she'll be broke and with nothing to do. Melissa has a new record coming out soon and is in demand as a bassist with other bands. She has moved on with her career. I think she should just leave it alone and let Courtney move on with what she wants to do.
Awwww that is unfortunate... On the bright side it's fresh and new... We have tons of reunions, reimaginings, re-releases and remakes floating around these days... Hole has had many incarnations... This is just the latest of them to me. I get where Melissa is coming from and that idea sounds cool too... To me though it already sounds like it's too late for a 90's Hole reunion with all the bad mouthing and fighting that's taken place... So for that reason, I am definitely against axing the new Hole and continuing with the plan. this wasn't drummed up over night, courtney was tossing around the idea in like 2007ish on moonwashedrose.com plus the Nylon magazine from earlier in 2009 (i think) referred to them as "the new Hole"... it's been floating around.... new can be good, change can be good... and change can be guaranteed after 12 years! We'll see what happens with Eric tho... not really into all this wishy washy BS, I'd like some str8 up facts... another thought... courtney's always been kept in the past (ie live through this, Nirvana-relations)... A 90's Hole reunion is just that... the 90's.. her new fresh work deserves some attn.. embrace the music of the present!.. and the Hole name is probably more viable than Courtney Love or starting a new band with a new name and gaining a following so late in her career... i think this is really the way to go to make it a $$$ success.
I can´t stop thinking about Hole getiing back together with the original members, but as many of you just said that should had been thinking many years ago.

This article makes me feel like the album is even further away than we thought...
