I was at the Tabernacle show the night of this performance for 99x and she sounded fine. Her voice did go in and out a little bit but nothing like this video. She kept apologizing for her voice while on stage but I thought she rocked it. She seemed completely sober that night. I have been a fan for 17 years and seen Courtney/Hole 3 times and in all honestly, I think she was just exhausted or maybe feeling a bit under the weather. Don't be nervous.
Poor Courtney - It looks like her throat is hurting ... I REALLY HOPE SHE IS FEELING BETTER FOR THE TORONTO SHOW I'm pretty sure that i would cry if the show was cancelled
I really enjoyed the lyric change at the beginning. She seems to need a bit of rest, but it is great to keep hearing/readings fantastic things about the proper shows.

wow i didnt relaize there were so many canadian fans on this website!! i never thought she would play a show in toronto, thats why i drove all the way (9 hours) to see her in new york back in april when she only played 40 mins , lets hope it doesnt happen again!!are all you guys from toronto?? Here is how my day went down. I have been a member of 99X, an alternative/progressive radio station's club since '94 and have NEVER won tickets to a lunchtime acoustic set from them.. So, my heart has skipped a beat as i open my email and see that myself AND a guest have been chosen to ATTEND !! WOO HOO! I am to be there at 3:15 for the show to start at 3:30. We are treated to pizza and ice-cold beverages of the non-alcoholic variety..The day goes downhill FAST from there.. C-Love's handler (one of many) expresses that she is running late and if we wanna run errands, or get our hair cut or begin our holiday shopping, "that we should go for it as he doesnt expect her here until five-ish" No pics are allowed except when she is singing(and i use that term very loosely) and there will be Q & A and then she will sign something for each of us and cuss at us- jus kidding bout the cussing, but not really.. So far, our expectations have been met. now, there are 50 of us and we ARE an eclectic bunch- lots of piercings, tattoos, bad-attitudes, mohawks and torn jeans...and me, with my Martina McBride tatto and Spider-man t-shirt. We only have 2 obvious things in common- a love of Converse sneakers and C-LOVE!! We all laff, and joke and have a grand ole time when Vicky, my other half, decides she needs a cigarette. Its roughly about 5:10 when she goes to smoke and she almost immediately calls me and sez., "Courtney is here and we r coming up in the elevator" Vicky tells me C-Love has already blown off her ONE FAN in the lobby begging for an autograph- she went right by him, with jus a snarl.. Vicky joins me in our primo seats just before the HURRICANE known as C-Love comes stumbling in...Well, she is a HOT MESS!! Her hair is everywhere but on her head, her makeup is most definitley what she applied the evening before for the Nashville show and it is all smudged and asssymetrical.. THATS OUR GIRL!! She has thrown on black skin-tight pants, a non-descript black shirt and black boots- obviously to match her mood,. She is precariously claw-clutching a vente latte from Starbucks, spilling as she enters the room. she plops down on a stool and announces that she has needs a day off and that she jus rolled outta bed..REALLY? NO, REALLY??? She then sez she has lost her voice, & that she will segue directly into the acoustic set. She really should NOT be doing this, if ya know what i mean. She croaks thru 'Pacific Coast Highway", missing words, lyrics and is generally off-key 'cept for those few times she actually hits a note. Her band is non-plussed and displaying the "been there and been thru this" attitude that they all seem to have acquired.. She finishes and spies a tall ice-cold bottled water nearby, she lunges for it, up-ends it and proceeds to gulp it and she drains it like a shot of tequila.. then silence, then awkward pause- she balances on that stool so precariously that you would think that stool-sitting is a dangerous Olympic sport... more silence- the audience is semi- recoiling in horror. She ask what you want to hear? And i shout out- "Can you sing 'LIVE THROUGH THIS" ? Courtney responds with ' I cant FCKN sing thaaat song- I have to scream that and I. Have. no voice. " more silence, then i gather my guts, stand and say, 'Courtney, can you please sing UNCOOL"? She glares at me,with her pupils as big as dimes, looks out at the audience, but its more akin to one eye looking FOR me and one eye looking AT me and she sez" I FCKIN HAAATE that song" Then proceeds to spill stories about the writers who penned it, when and where it was recorded, the second most hated song in her catalog, JAY-Z the rapper, and how it took her 5 hours to leave one perfect voice message for some guy she has the hots for.. then she semi-sings two more songs and announces she is going downstairs for a much-needed cigarette, but as she is leaving she tells us that she has changed her mind and is just gonna leave as she has a show to do tonight. So pretty much all has gone as we imagined it so far. the show begins at 8 that night, she comes on at about 10:20. She is wearing a black buttery leather mini-skirt kilt, thigh high black leather boots with a semi-high heel and a white peasant-style blouse. She looks smoking HAWT, in that white-trash sorta way- her hair is all did up and makeup applied properly!! She screeches the guitar, cusses at us and she is off!! We are treated to a 1 and 1/2 hour set of head-banging music and we are in front stage-right in the middle of a claustrophic mosh-pit!! In other words, HEAVEN!!! She loses her voice more times than Taylor Swift has awards and implores us to help her sing along. All 1300 or so of us do just that- help her sing the whole show and we ALL have a blast!! She does an incredible set- covering NINE-INCH NAILS on CLOSER that melds right into a cover of Judy Garland's The Man that Got Away!! BRILLIANT!! She also sang LIVE THROUGH THIS which she has not included in her regular set since 2000, i think. Id like to think she sang it because I had asked her earlier, but the chances are slim to highly unlikely, but a girl can dream, cant she? She SLAYS this concert- what a SHOW we loved every minute of it and C-LOVE was true to form...We are sad to see it end. On the way out we met a girl who has knocked her front teeth out and herself by smashing to the pavement after tripping over a curb- we buy her a bag of ice from a vendor , plop her up against a tree and wait for her friends to scoop her up. we walk to our car, and parked directly next to us is a blue mini-van, running, with a girl vomiting into her cleavage and onto her dashboard while sitting in the drivers seat. we turn off her van, roll her into the back seat on her side so she does not expire on her own vomitus and pin a note telling her we hid her keys under the seat... So, the show was PERFECT!! We had a blast and are already considering another show in our near- future!! I may have taken a small bit of embellishing license on this story- for instance, she was really only like 1 hour 38 min late as opposed to 1 hour 40 minutes, and she was probably a tad bit more coherent than i may have led you to believe.. All i can say is that the show was an experience & we love her!!! Vocals arent a REAL BIG DEAL at HOLE concerts and its more of an experience and we had a BLAST!! We love you Courtney !!
